VLP’s Rapid Re-housing programs are designed to help Veterans and their families experiencing a housing crisis find a permanent home as quickly as possible.

In both of these housing programs, VLP’s case managers talk to their clients on the phone, meet face-to-face at VLP’s offices and conduct routine home visits. These touch points are critical in helping Veterans reach their goals.

Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF)

Serving 18 counties, VLP’s largest housing program is Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF), with a $1.8 million grant from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. VLP was the first organization in Western Pennsylvania to receive the SSVF grant and continues to hold one of the largest grants in the region. SSVF’s two main goals are to assist Veterans experiencing homelessness with permanent and sustainable housing and to prevent homelessness for Veterans facing evictions.

If you are a Veteran who is experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless and living in one of the counties listed below, please call the corresponding contact to see if you are eligible to receive assistance.
